Considerations for Intervention and Support

The Considerations for Intervention and Support Navigation Essentials toolkit offers an overview of areas that should be addressed when developing an educational or therapeutic support program for youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health challenges. Some areas of intervention and support will be more highly prioritized than others based on the specific needs of the youth. However, teams should be knowledgeable about each area of consideration to help identify the appropriate level of intervention and support, as well as the need for additional expertise.

The videos in this toolkit will provide a brief introduction of each area of consideration followed by resources that can provide a team with more information to dig deeper into areas that are less familiar. Many of the considerations are addressed in one or more of the Navigation Essentials toolkits.
