The Power of Reinforcement
Welcome to the Navigation Essentials toolkit on reinforcement. Reinforcement is an evidence-based practice used to teach specific skills and to reduce challenging behaviors. Reinforcement strengthens the connection between a behavior or skill and the outcome. This toolkit introduces and explains reinforcement and how to use it to support skill development and positive behaviors for youth with complex needs.
