Use the following resources and tools to further your skills and enhance your team’s knowledge.
- Autism Internet Modules (AIM)
The AIM Module on Reinforcement is also included in the resource section of The Power of Reinforcement Navigation Essentials toolkit. It is included again in the Leaders’ Essentials to highlight the section on step-by-step implementation and data collection. Leaders will want to learn more about the planning for reinforcement as well as the use of data to evaluate progress. Use the table of contents in the module to easily locate these specific sections and the resources section to download tools to assist in planning and data collection.
- Autism Certification Center
The Autism Certification Center offers two resources for those wanting a deeper understanding of reinforcement and other associated strategies. Both resources include a module on data collection that will enhance implementation and progress monitoring of reinforcement plans.
- Foundations of Evidence-Based Strategies
These foundational courses will introduce you to evidence-based strategies that can be used to develop social-communication and academic skills, positive behaviors, and independence. These courses include reinforcement modules.
- Behavior Assessment and Planning with Evidence-Based Interventions
This coursework is designed to provide a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of how to use functional behavior assessment and positive behavioral intervention planning to decrease interfering behaviors and teach new skills.
- Foundations of Evidence-Based Strategies
- AFIRM Module on Reinforcement
This AFIRM module covers basic knowledge about reinforcement and uses activity-based scenarios that promote real-world application of the concepts. Autism Focused Intervention and Resources and Modules (AFIRM) provide step-by-step processes for planning, using, and monitoring evidence-based practices (EBP). Supplemental materials and handouts are also available.
- The Classroom Check-Up
This free web-based resource offers tools and training to support teachers and team leaders. Modules include videos, assessment instruments, strategy tools, and planning tools to facilitate positive learning environments. Reinforcement information and tools for the classroom are included. Registration is required.
